  • An online reservation is strongly advised, as there is a limited number of visitors per time slot. During weekends and holiday periods, time slots are often sold out.
  • A visit takes about 1 hour.

Getting here

  • By tram: stop Oosteroever (Old name: Duin en Zee)
  • By car: Fort Napoleon is located on the Oosteroever (eastern bank), at the Koninklijke Baan (N34) between Ostend and Knokke. There is ample free parking space.
  • By local ferry: A free ferry service is available from the Visserskaai near the Noordzeeaquarium to the Maritiem Plein on the Oosteroever. From the drop off point it's a 15-minute walk to the fort.

Accessibility

Fort Napoleon is fully accessible for both wheelchairs and prams, with the exception of the roof and caponiers. 

Dogs are not allowed, except guide dogs
